The PRO SL (fifth-wheel version of the PRO DX) is today the most powerful forage harvester on the market. It combines KRONE harvesting and chopping components with a chassis built by GILLES.
The rear chassis has a truck fifth wheel on an articulated support, adjustable in height and tilt for easy trailer hitching. The spout was specially designed for optimal trailer filling: combined with the Stream-Control system, it creates a straight flow for a complete fill.
For more comfort when hitching and unhitching the trailer, a walkway lets the operator stay on the machine. To meet the needs of alfalfa harvesting, a spraying system was added. Exclusively for the PRO SL, KRONE developed a 10-knife rotor allowing chop lengths up to 70 mm.
In the field, the PRO SL stands out with higher performance: in alfalfa, it harvests 20 m windrows (combined width) at 10 to 15 km/h.
