The PRO DX IV (4th generation of the PRO DX line) is today the most powerful forage harvester on the market.
It combines Krone harvesting and chopping components with a chassis and a body built by the Belgian company Gilles, specialised in sugar beet lifting and loading equipment. The self-propelled machine has a 45 m³ hopper with an unloading height of more than 5 m.
The chassis is articulated and the rear axle is steerable, allowing crab steering and an exceptional turning radius. In addition, the rear unit is supported by an axle with hydraulic suspension and level correction, allowing unloading on slopes.
In the field: in maize, the machine harvests at 8 to 10 km/h; it takes 3 to 4 minutes to fill the 45 m³ hopper and less than 2 minutes to empty it. 2 rear cameras help reversing and filling trailers. Top speed is about 25 km/h.
